surgery, chemotheraphy, radiation theraphy and combination of them.
- Surgery. The aim of surgery is to remove cancer or tumor around mesothelium. Earlier stage of mesothelium is more recommended to have this kind of treatment. Depending of how extensive the tumor has spreading, the surgery might also removing part of internal organs. This treatment could removing all cancer cell or might has to leave part of them to save vital organs.
- Chemotheraphy is the most common cancer theraphy. Using drugs to detain the growth of cancer cell or even kill those fast growing cell. Chemotheraphy is effective in many mesothelioma and oher cancer cases.
- Radiation theraphy is using radioactive energy to destroy cancer cell. This kind of theraphy might remove all of cancer cells, but usually only shrinking the cells. Therefore radiatioin theraphy has to combine with another theraphy.
- The combination of those theraphy could used to ensure that all of cancer cells has destroyed. Surgery alone might left some cancer cells that could growth again. To eliminate those cells, we need chemotheraphy and/or radiation theraphy. This multi modal approach believed increasing the number of mesothelioma survivors.
- Beside those treatments the willto survive and fighting spirit of the patients played the most important thing to surviving the mesothelioma and other cancer patients. Of course they can not do it alone. Most of them could survive because of their families and friends keep supporting them. The positive attitude of medical staff also important.
